At a recent English Club, we talked about the best way to describe products in order to attract people to try them. Adjectives to use in advertising. When describing natto, it is probably best not to mention the aroma at all. 

...and 29 is the new 15?

 Sorry to say, we need to change the schedule for November from the 1st and 15th to the 1st and 29th. 

11 is the new 9!

"November" comes from the Latin word for "nine" because in earlier times there were only 10 months in a year. In this year, there are two times on the eleventh month that you can join us for English Club. 

 

Not a Couch Potato

 We've looked at various expressions in English, and here is a translation of other languages' terms for a person who reads a lot. A person who spends much time in front of the TV is a couch potato, by the way.
